About: This article deals with the influence of the Hispano-Arab culture in the Latin American culture, from a linguistic point of view, and through the development of the humanities, arts and sciences such as mathematics, astronomy, medicine, navigation, geography, among others. The eight hundred years of Arab immigration to Spain and the four hundred years of Spanish occupation in America constituted the elements through which a quasi-global phenomenon of transculturation took place.
