Abstract:
Slides of two presentations: Christopher Buck's "Homosexuality in World Religions" and Nahzy Buck's "Homosexuality in the Bahá'í Faith."
Notes:
Both of these lectures were presented on as part of a "Constitutional Law Seminar" on the topic of "The Constitution and Homosexuality" during Trinity Term (August 1, 2004) at the Thomas M. Cooley Law School (Lansing, Michigan). Christopher Buck won the "Book Award" (certificate of merit) as the top student in the class, notwithstanding the fact that he had opposing views on homosexuality from his professor, Peggy Rostorfer, who was openly lesbian and enjoyed a monogamous relationship with her lesbian partner, while raising their daughter. Dr. Rostorfer conducted the seminar with sensitivity and skill and allowed for complete intellectual honesty and academic freedom. [-C.B., 2010]
