Abstract:
Maryam Bushru'i (1815-1902), a sister of Mulla Husayn Bushru'i, produced a bold, emotionally charged response to a celebrated poem by Rumi, lending a broader definition to the community of Qajar poets that transcends social, doctrinal, and gendered lines.
