About: This paper presents a letter revealed by the Báb to His uncle, Siyyid Ḥasan-‘Alí, on 23 Rabí‘ al-Thání 1261 A.H. (1 May 1845), shortly after His return from pilgrimage to Mecca and Medina. The Letter briefly recounts His sacred journey and entrusts His uncle with conveying its message to their relatives in Shíráz. A provisional English translation and contextual commentary are offered to illuminate this early and personal document from the Báb’s ministry.
